The City of Delta has launched their engagement efforts with the community regarding the project on Evergreen Lane that will include units for Individuals with intellectual disabilities. This is an exciting & important step in the process for affordable and inclusive housing for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Affordable Housing Societies has included in Phase One up to 10 units (the number is flexible) for Delta Housing Be Mine Society.
· Phase One would deliver 130 below-market seniors’ homes in a 4-storey apartment building form,
· Phase Two would see 68 below-market family homes built in a 4-storey apartment building and a 3-storey townhouse building.
All feedback received will help inform the City Planning Staff in their recommendations report to Mayor and Council down the line.
With that in mind, I wanted to share the Open House information and encourage everyone including family, friends, and other people in your network to consider participating.
